An opportunity has arisen within the School of Health Sciences to support the delivery and development of our Independent Prescribing provision for pharmacists, within a well-established multidisciplinary prescribing team.

We are seeking a registered Pharmacist Independent Prescriber with current GPhC registration and contemporary clinical experience to contribute to teaching, assessment and academic support across the programme. You will be expected to contribute to postgraduate teaching activities, module organisation, assessment as well as supporting ongoing curriculum development in line with professional and regulatory standards. You will also contribute to student support, admissions activity and wider School initiatives.

Applicants must hold a Masters level qualification in a relevant health related subject, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and hold an Independent Prescriber qualification. Experience of postgraduate teaching relevant to the subject, student assessment and contemporary prescribing practice is essential. You will need to have a recordable teaching qualification (e.g. PGCert in Higher or Clinical Education) or be working towards one.

This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available immediately on a fixed term basis for 1 year. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Vulnerable Adult Barred Lists. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or vulnerable adults.
