Birmingham Newman University enjoys a strong reputation in Counselling, Psychotherapy & Talking Therapies. Our distinctive suite of professional programmes includes a UPCA/UKCP accredited postgraduate training in psychotherapy, a BACP accredited MSc Integrative Counselling (Full time), a BACP accredited Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling, and a BA (Hons) Counselling 'Top Up' award. We also run several very popular undergraduate degree programmes, including a BPS accredited BSc (Hons) Psychology & Counselling Studies, BA (Hons) in Counselling Studies & Working with Children, Young People and Families, BA (Hons) Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and a BPS accredited Low Intensity CBT (PWP) training.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be a registered counsellor/psychotherapist with BACP, UPCA/UKCP or equivalent and have previous experience of teaching or training. The postholder will be able to contribute to our Undergraduate counselling studies programmes and professional training programmes – BACP accredited Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling, UPCA accredited MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, BACP accredited MSc in Integrative Counselling and depending on prior experience and professional registration, to our wider portfolio of programmes.
