Due to an internal move within the University, an opportunity has arisen for an Accounts & Purchasing Supervisor to join the administrative team in the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR). The Institute currently employs around 120 research staff and has annual expenditure of over £17m.
This is a varied role that incorporates many aspects of finance, including accounts payable and receivable, procurement and internal recharges. The post holder will supervise the work of three clerks and become an expert on University procedures and financial regulations, working closely with the University's Central Finance Division. The prime objective is to provide a first-class accounts service to the Institute's scientists.
The ideal candidate should be AAT qualified or equivalent, with good communication and interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
