Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 10 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
This role holder will primarily be responsible for providing careers education, advice and guidance to PhD candidates and Postdoctoral Research staff with a focus on those in Clinical Medicine and Biological Science disciplines. They will also contribute to the programme of activity supporting students at all levels. The role will also take over the stakeholder management of Departments and Colleges that the current role holder is responsible for. Providing the expertise, experience and tools to help shape delivery for local activities designed to support individuals' career development.
The ideal candidate will be fascinated by the evolving Labour Market, experienced with digital delivery, and an excellent communicator capable of building and sustaining relationships across the Collegiate University and beyond.
Previous experience of careers work in a Higher Education setting, experience of graduate recruitment or similar professional experience is essential. Evidence of understanding the careers challenges faced by early career researchers (within and beyond academia) would be a distinct advantage.
