The role

We have vacancies for Grade I (Teaching Associate) colleagues within our teaching group and seek talented individuals to join our friendly team of anatomists. Our skilled team includes scientists, qualified clinicians and allied health professionals (Medics, vets, dentists, radiographers, biomedical scientists), you might be early career or more experienced - we welcome anyone with relevant experience to consider applying. As an Anatomy Department we teach across a wide range of programmes, providing instruction in human, comparative and veterinary anatomy to over 1500 undergraduates and 1400 postgraduates. What will you be doing?

You should apply if

  • you are passionate about anatomy education and enjoy helping students develop confidence in their anatomical knowledge and practical skills
  • you have experience, or a developing interest, in teaching human, comparative or veterinary anatomy
  • you bring relevant expertise from anatomy, biomedical science, medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, radiography, allied health, education or a related field
  • you enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary teaching team
  • you are able to contribute to practical classes, small-group teaching, tutorials, demonstrations, assessment and student support, depending on your experience
  • you are committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching across a diverse student community
  • you are organised, reliable and able to communicate clearly with students and colleagues
  • you are keen to develop your teaching portfolio and academic practice with support from experienced colleagues
  • you would like to contribute to a vibrant department with a strong reputation for anatomy education
