The Department of Psychiatry is based on the Warneford Hospital site in Oxford – a friendly, welcoming place of work with an international reputation for excellence. The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox.
The TV ARC is based within the Department of Psychiatry at Oxford and the Thames Valley research ecosystem spans several boundaries between different care settings, commissioners and providers, and across the translational continuum. Our work is organised across three thematic areas- Start Well, Live Well, Age Well- along with five cross cutting themes: digital; health tech and data; community, social, and home care; knowledge mobilisation, implementation, and partnerships; research inclusion and health inequalities; planning and delivering social care.

The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum on-site time is 3 days/week for a full-time post.
About the Role
The post is funded until April 2031 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
You will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of a broad capacity development programme aligned with TV ARC priorities, with a focus on organisational capability, leadership, academic career development, and community capacity building. You will design and facilitate inclusive learning and development activity in formats that are accessible and relevant to diverse audiences, including non-specialist groups.
About You
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and have proven experience of designing and delivering inclusive organisational, leadership, workforce, and/or capacity development activity in complex, multi-stakeholder settings. You will have strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into accessible and practical development activity. Experience of working in partnerships across University, NHS, social care, local authority and or community sectors is desirable.
