This post will be embedded in the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, a vibrant community of engineering focused on developing and clinically translating cutting-edge healthcare technologies based, at St Thomas’ Campus.
The Senior Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Officer will work as part of the Public Engagement Team Staff and PhD students focus on the science and engineering of medical imaging and aims to improve outcomes for patients with cancer, brain and heart conditions.
About The Role
The Senior PPIE Officer will manage the PPI Advisory Group for the School, as well as that of King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (DHH) which aims to support the development and implementation of digital health technologies.
The Senior PPIE Officer will support researchers, PhD students, and projects adopted by the DHH with their PPIE activities.
The role will contribute to building a culture of engagement by developing training and engagement opportunities for staff within our School.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public and patient engagement professional with experience connecting patients with lived experience to science and researchers. You will be highly motivated, strategic, and creative with a commitment to the principles and practice of equality, diversity and inclusion.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 2 years.
