About the role:

The post supports the broader objectives of Lifelong Learning as part of Imperial College Learning & Teaching strategy to become a leading centre of excellence in delivering digital learning programmes.

This involves working on Lifelong Learning projects and initiatives, including the development of innovations in digital learning, online and blended degrees, short online courses and certificate programmes, innovative teaching and learning technologies (e.g. AI-bots, XR applications, gamified instances).

The post holder will be highly organised to manage the production processes related to design, development and delivery of learning experiences as part of the Learning Experience Futures team, a core service team within Lifelong Learning. The post holder will work closely with learning designers, learning technologists, media producers, academics from different professional services, departments and faculties, plus cross-functional portfolio and service teams within Lifelong Learning. The post holder will support the day-to-day operations of the production management function within the Learning Experience Futures team. This day-to-day management includes maintaining the core production management pipeline and deliverable tracking system and liaising with team members plus portfolio teams to monitor on-going progress and milestone maintenance

This role is full-time, fixed-term for 2 years and requires hybrid working at South Kensington campus.

What you would be doing:

The post supports the strategic aims of Imperial College London, Lifelong Learning, Learning Experience Futures and our stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of lifelong learning that is both innovative and critical to the learner experience.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to

  • Responsible for managing production of learning experiences, through design to delivery, and managing day to day production operations of the development process, including resourcing considerations as part of the LXF pipeline
  • Provide expert guidance, consultancy and advice to a team of creative digital learning professionals, as well as academic course teams and educators across various departments to ensure the design, development, and delivery of learning experiences meet timescales and are in line with scope and quality standards
  • Contribute to ensuring highly engaging, consistent learner experience by liaising with relevant portfolio teams and stakeholders

What we are looking for:

  • Degree, or relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a project manager or similar role, preferably in the field of higher education, ensuring projects are delivered in time and to agreed quality standards
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel and project management tools
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in technology-enhanced learning
