About this role
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community based at the Chichester campus as a Lecturer within our Physiotherapy team. As a Physiotherapy (Cardio-respiratory) Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Allied Health, the working year will be divided between teaching, teaching-related administration, assessment and research. You will contribute to the delivery of cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy education enhancing the student experience on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Physiotherapy programmes; providing students with a high-quality, research informed educational experience leading to an understanding of healthcare practice and the achievement of both academic and professional qualifications. You will also contribute to developments in response to the professional and interprofessional agendas, and support collaborations with clinical colleagues to develop and prepare appropriate clinical placements including educational audit and clinical liaison. You will ensure maintenance of clinical competence through clinical activity, in addition to facilitating and supporting the University quality assurance initiatives related to healthcare practice.
About you
You will have a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level in Physiotherapy; you will be a practicing Physiotherapist currently on HCPC register for minimum of 2 years’ with experience in the UK in an acute setting and will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). You will also demonstrate the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn. In addition, you will have current experience of working in the NHS and/or HEI in the clinical area of cardio-respiratory and pulmonary conditions.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.
