Lecturer in Business Analytics

About the Role
As Lecturer in Business Analytics, you'll join the Department of Business Analytics and Applied Economics to build an ambitious research agenda in Applied Economics, Business Analytics or Operations and Management Science, with a clear focus on impact. You'll deliver empirical methods training to undergraduates, teach across the department's MSc and undergraduate programmes, and contribute to curriculum development. You'll pursue publications at internationally excellent level or higher, contribute to joint grant funding applications, and engage with the department's research culture.

About You
You're an academic with clear potential to deliver high-quality research in business analytics, applied economics or a related field. You hold, or are close to completing, a PhD in management science, economics, statistics or similar, plus HE teaching accreditation (or the ability to obtain it). You bring some experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, a working knowledge of statistical software such as STATA, Python or R, and a genuine commitment to helping less numerate business students grasp quantitative methods. You communicate complex ideas clearly and can develop competitive funding proposals.

SBM is one of five schools in QMUL's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, home to around 150 academic staff across five departments.
