Faculty Development Officer

About the Role

The Faculty Development Officer role sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE). The purpose of this role is to coordinate the effective operational delivery of the Academy of Clinical Educators (ACE) and to support the ongoing programme of Community Based Medical Education (CBME) faculty development training. This includes strengthening educator development, promoting best practice, and enhancing the quality of placement-based teaching in alignment with QMUL curricula and national standards.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience event/training administration within Higher Education (HE). You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You will have high-level interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of building relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This post sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD), Queen Mary University of London. The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), indefinite contract with an expected start date of September 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £40,015 - £46,618 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance, with new appointments usually expected to be appointed at the start of the grade.
