About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Dr Nekisa Zakeri’s lab within the Centre for Tumour Biology, Barts Cancer Institute. This exciting Wellcome Trust funded project will use advanced 3D patient-derived models to develop gamma delta T cell-based immunotherapeutic strategies for liver cancer and investigate the liver tumour microenvironment. Depending on the candidate’s expertise, the project may also extend to in vivo murine models.
The postholder will have opportunities to contribute to supervision of MSc/PhD students and collaborate with partner research centres.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a PhD (or close to completion) in Cancer Immunology or a related discipline. Applicants should have expertise in tissue-derived 3D modelling approaches including organoid and/or tissue slice models, and experience with immune cell co-cultures, flow cytometry and confocal microscopy. Experience in animal research is desirable.
We are seeking a motivated researcher with excellent communication, teamworking, and research management skills.
