We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Senior Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and development of our BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care Management with Integrated Foundation Year programme at Bath Spa University London, Hackney.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a diverse student community through inclusive, evidence-informed teaching, particularly in health analytics, public health and public health management.
About the Role
As a Senior Lecturer, you will deliver and develop engaging teaching across our Health and Social Care Management programme, with a particular focus on health analytics, public health and public health management. You will adopt inclusive, evidence-informed and digitally enabled approaches to support a diverse student community.
You will contribute to curriculum development, assessment, quality assurance and the ongoing enhancement of programme delivery. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will support academic coordination, contribute to programme planning and help improve student engagement, progression, attainment and graduate employability.
The role also involves research and scholarly activity, mentoring colleagues where appropriate, and developing productive relationships with employers, practitioners and professional networks. You will contribute to the wider academic community and initiatives that strengthen the student experience and professional relevance of the programme.
About You
You will hold a master’s degree in health and social care management, public health, healthcare management or a closely related discipline, alongside recent experience of teaching in higher education. You will have the expertise to teach health analytics, public health and/or evidence-based healthcare modules and a strong understanding of contemporary health and social care practice.
You will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive, engaging and digitally informed teaching, with experience of curriculum development, assessment and academic quality assurance. You will also have a track record of research or scholarly activity that informs your teaching and enhances the student experience.
As a collaborative and proactive academic, you will bring strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support colleagues and contribute to wider programme development. Experience of working with employers, professional bodies or community partners would be advantageous.
Additional Information
Salary Grade Ac3S/Ac3A - Starting from £44,746 rising to £56,536 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay.
Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
