This position is full time and open ended and office based.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join the Operations Team within the School of Science. This varied role provides operational, financial, HR and executive support to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the School.
As an Operations Support Administrator, you will provide executive and administrative support to the School's Senior Leadership Team, including the Dean, Associate Deans, Directors and Heads of Department. You will also play a key role in supporting a range of operational activities across the School of Science.
The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including day-to-day finance administration, such as processing purchases, monitoring expenditure, supporting budget management processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures. You will also provide HR administrative support, assisting with recruitment campaigns, responding to routine HR enquiries, supporting onboarding activities and helping to ensure compliance with employment legislation and visa requirements.
Applicants should have previous experience in an administrative role within a busy office environment and be confident working across a range of operational functions. Experience of supporting finance and/or HR processes would be advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. The ability to manage a varied workload, work independently, maintain confidentiality and respond effectively to changing priorities and deadlines is essential.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering a high-quality service, have strong IT skills and be able to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the School and wider University.
