About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the History learning and teaching team in liaison with another 0.6 FTE Academic Administrator. You will be providing leadership and management across the full range of administrative functions of the undergraduate and postgraduate student journey for a period of 12 months to cover the maternity leave of the 1.0 FTE Academic Administrator post.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a secondment for a candidate wishing to develop their management and leadership skills in academic administration. About You
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual who will relish the opportunity to lead the teaching and learning team in History. You will be pro-active, paying attention to detail and comfortable communicating with people of all levels. You will be responsible for the development and management of all aspects of student administration ranging from registration to graduation of undergraduate and postgraduate students with particular focus on the improvement of administrative processes and procedures to enhance the student experience.
Responsibilities include administration and oversight of student records, courses and modules (course/module approvals and module allocations), examination and assessment preparation and support, timetabling, year abroad programmes, student attendance monitoring, student pastoral support and effective liaison with other departments for joint degrees.
The post holder will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will provide high level support to the Head of Department, the Deputy Head of Department (Teaching and Learning) and the Head of Administration by effectively leading and managing a team of four staff in liaison with the 0.6 FTE Academic Administrator. Staff management is shared as follows: a Deputy Academic Administrator and an Undergraduate Co-ordinator reporting to this 1.0 FTE post and a Student Progression and Support Officer and an Undergraduate Co-ordinator reporting to 0.6 FTE post.

The Warwick University History Department is one of the largest history departments in the UK, with teaching and research notable for its disciplinary range and geographical scope. The Department is comprised of c.50 academic staff, 5 postdoctoral staff, 13 support staff, c.1000 undergraduate students, and c.100 postgraduate students.
