The Department of Engineering is the largest within the University of Cambridge (approximately 800 staff) and operates across a diverse range of Academic and Professional Services divisions. The role holder will play an important part in supporting the delivery of a professional, responsive and efficient HR service within a complex and fast-paced environment. We are seeking an organised and customer-focused HR professional who can build positive working relationships, provide accurate advice and guidance, and ensure HR processes are delivered effectively and compliantly.

The successful candidate will have experience in HR administration or coordination, strong organisational skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information with discretion, and providing a high standard of customer service. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in a complex environment are essential. Experience of recruitment, immigration or visitor administration, HR systems and providing HR advice would be advantageous. As part of the wider HR team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support projects that enhance the experience of staff and visitors across the Department.
