This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a genuine contribution to demonstrating that the University of Sheffield’s research makes a difference to the Economy or to Society.

Reporting jointly to the Faculty Director of Operations (or Deputy) and Head of Faculty Research Support in Research Services you will encourage, co-ordinate, support and deliver strategies to identify and deliver impact case studies. This will be primarily for REF purposes, but also for use with funders, Government, partners and general promotion. You will provide advice and be involved at the outset of funding applications to ensure that impact is properly considered and embedded, as well as in developing the impacts themselves that arise from research.

You will be part of a network of Impact Managers working closely with other Faculty colleagues, with academic researchers and with Professional Services such as Research Services and Partnerships and Regional Engagement.

You will be based in either the Faculty of Science, Social Sciences or Medicine, Dentistry and Health.
