The School of Biosciences are excited to offer a new lectureship position on the Teaching and Research career pathway.
The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate degree at PhD level in an appropriate subject area, and will develop a strong and innovative research portfolio in ecology and/or zoology. Whilst excellence is our primary criterion, we are particularly interested in candidates using quantitative/informatics/GIS approaches, ideally with links to conservation. The appointee will be expected to contribute actively to teaching in the School at Undergraduate and Masters level, in particular on our successful MSc in Global Ecology & Conservation.
Applicants able to demonstrate collaborative potential across the School’s Research Divisions are particularly welcome.
The appointee will contribute to:
∙ School research output through carrying out a vigorous programme of externally funded research, leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals
∙ The research environment of the Division and School through an open and interactive approach, underpinned by networking and collaboration
∙ The teaching programmes of the School by delivering high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
∙ Academic administrative duties.
This is a full time, open-ended position.
