Main duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking an Administrator to undertake a range of general administrative duties relating specifically to the School of Creative Arts. To ensure accurate and timely completion of School-related administration in full compliance with external legal and University requirements. The post holder will provide co-ordinated administrative support for areas including human resources, financial and strategic planning, academic quality and managing the Schools external examiners and academic integrity process whilst working closely with Academic Services. You will liaise with relevant professional services across the University, in particular the Student Administrative Service, Academic Quality, Academic Services, Estates, etc. This is an interesting and varied position with the opportunity to contribute to new working practices within the School.
Skills and experience
You will have appropriate proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation. Experience of working in Higher Education administration is desirable. You will be highly motivated, pro-active, and flexible to requirements. Accuracy and attention to detail are key requirements within this role. You will be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in a variety of formats to different audiences. Your application will evidence good IT skills including the use of MS Office and databases and that you are numerate and literate. You will be required to work adaptably, being effective in a team setting, with a can-do attitude.
You will be educated with A-levels or equivalent or proven professional work experience.
