Do you want to join our Library Services team at an exciting time in a brand new role which is full of possibilities? We're looking for someone to provide inspirational leadership to drive change and support the continual development of an outstanding Library service in support of the University's priorities for education and research.
As Head of Academic Engagement and Teaching Services you will develop a high profile and trusted relationships throughout the University through proactive stakeholder engagement, working closely with senior Faculty colleagues to ensure the Library meets their current priorities for learning, teaching and research and engage participation in developing services in response to emerging requirements.
You will provide inspiring leadership of the Academic Engagement and Teaching Services team, re-shaping the Academic Liaison Librarian role and developing specialist services, including outstanding support for information and research skills, within the curriculum and through an innovative Library programme, in person and online.
You will be a key member of Library Services' Leadership Team, working collaboratively and sharing responsibility for the strategic development and management of Library Services (which includes the University Library, Manchester Poetry Library, Special Collections Museum, North West Film Archive). Our immediate priorities are the implementation of a new structure in January 2022 and developing a new strategy aligned with the University's ambitious journey on the Road to 2030.
