We are looking for an ambitious operations manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the Acute Vascular Imaging Centre (AVIC). This post is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to work in a supporting role for a world-leading research centre, and who would be motivated to help find solutions so the Centre runs efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for the effective administration of the Centre; tasks include budgets, building and facilities, planning and project management, health and safety. You will also be key in supporting the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s clinical CT service, as well as other interventional services of the Trust. The role will offer great opportunities for career development, as a step to transition into a senior managerial/leadership position within the centre.  You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, and researchers (post-doc scientists and DPhil students).

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and have a positive and flexible attitude, with a pro-active approach. Previous experience of administration and project coordination, and a demonstrable ability to confidently and effectively interact with a wide range of staff and contractors is essential. You will be computer literate for a wide range of office technologies. Previous experience of administration in a university context or within the NHS would be highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Oxford in line with current safe University of Oxford working practices. The University is an equal opportunities employer.

The position is full time and fixed-term for three years in the first instance.
