Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.
The Department of People and Organisations, located in Bournemouth University’s Business School, is a vibrant and future focused department that builds upon Bournemouth’s existing excellence and global reputation for the fusion of research, practice and teaching.
As a Lecturer in Business and Management, you will contribute to research-led teaching and development of fused academic programmes in all areas of business management at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will engage in attracting external grant funding, knowledge transfer, continuous professional development and other forms of external engagement and professional practice, as appropriate.
We welcome expertise from relevant disciplinary backgrounds although we are particularly interested in those whose work can demonstrate management (e.g., strategy, operations, organisational behaviour, human resource management, leadership, project management) and marketing (e.g., consumer behaviour, analytics) expertise across the areas of business and management to cover our suite of programmes. You will be expected to strengthen the Business School’s position as a thought leader in business and management informing societal debates, policy agendas, student experience and employability.
You will be qualified to Doctoral level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
