Job description

An exciting opportunity to join King’s Residences in a new role that puts our residents at the forefront of our operation. The Resident Engagement Assistant will join our Community Engagement team to support our residents and help us fully understand their journey. With a diverse range of responsibilities, the successful candidate will play a key role in our covid support, ensuring all isolating residents are traced and receive the King’s support packages, to be administratively responsible for the year-round welcome to King’s Residences programme, support managers in organising all resident facing engagement touch points by facilitating and filtering feedback, analysing regular surveys and complaint data to enable residences to adapt to residents needs and help us maintain a plan for continuous improvement. This role will ensure that the student is always at the heart of what we do.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract  contract

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent

Key responsibilities

  • Year-round Welcome to King’s Residences prep/planning and lessons learnt
  • Plotting Residents experience journey and feeding back opportunities to improve
  • Creating, implementing, and analysing Move in and termly resident satisfaction survey/student calls and BUG Sessions
  • Track all isolators and ensure residents receive King’s support package
  • Report on all areas impacting the residents including complaints, service issues, attendance to resi events
  • Lead on recruitment of student ambassadors at key points in the year
  • Proactively seek out new ways to engage and understand our residents and develop actions in response
  • Assist in planning staff information and well-being events as well as staff feedback
  • Support Resi-Life team in community events and data analysis.

The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Essential criteria

  1. Educated to degree level and/or relevant experience
  2. Knowledge of the Higher Education and a role in a similar position
  3. Attention to detail and ability to identify trends in feedback and complaints
  4. Complaint handling
  5. IT literate, especially social media platforms and on-line surveys
  6. Ability to use own initiative, generate new ideas and creating projects from inception to delivery
  7. Drive, resilience and attention to detail.
  8. Experience in managing data, statistics, Power B
  9. Creatiuvity and a passion to make a positive impact upon our community

Desirable criteria

  1. Digital marketing and communication experience
  2. Presentation, facilitator experience
