One of the largest Colleges within the University of Oxford, St Catherine’s is seeking to appoint a Library Assistant on a fixed-term basis for one year whilst the existing post holder is on secondment.
The Library Assistant will assist with all aspects of the day to day administration and management of its busy Library, and facilitate the delivery of the highest levels of service to the college’s academic community.
The successful candidate will be positive and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills. Experience of working in a busy Library environment is desirable, as well as a commitment to developing the Library so that it continues to meet the diverse academic needs of our student community. In addition to resolving readers’ queries, you will assist in developing and maintaining OLIS for the Library, analyse book usage records, process new acquisitions, and assist with the co-ordination of Library invigilation.
The post comprises 35 hours per week, and the salary is within the range £19,000 - £20,000 per annum.
