An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Fellow to work with the Principal Investigator (PI), Professor Lisa Whitehouse, on a project that will seek ways to improve meaningful communication between households in housing debt and their housing provider, in the hope of reducing the likelihood of eviction. The project is funded by the abrdn Financial Fairness Trust and involves the collection and analysis of data relating to occupier engagement in the housing possession process in three case study areas (Southampton, Birmingham and Glasgow).

Southampton Law School is a vibrant and diverse community with an international reputation for excellence in education and research. • The undertaking of interviews and meetings in three case study areas (Southampton, Birmingham and Glasgow).

Experience of data collection using a range of methods including interviews is essential; knowledge of the social, political, economic and/or legal aspects of the housing market is desirable. The ability to organise allocated research activities to deadline and quality standards is crucial while organisational skills including effective and timely communication via email and/or online communication platforms (e.g. MS Teams) is desirable.
