Recruitment and Admissions

The Recruitment and Admissions Directorate is one of three which comprise the Students Portfolio alongside Learning and Teaching and Student Support Services. The Students portfolio is charged with ensuring that the journey from enquiry to successful completion is a smooth, enjoyable and of high quality.

As part of a restructure of the university to align to our new strategy, Daring to be Different, UHI is in the process of developing and strengthening the recruitment and admissions team under a new Director of Recruitment and Admissions. A key part of this team will be the new post of Head of International Student Recruitment.

The postholder will lead the recruitment of international students and development of current and new international markets in line with the university’s international strategy.

We are looking for an experienced international practitioner, who is able to support the development of markets and the recruitment of students to a unique institution in a breath-taking environment. As can be seen from our website we are not a traditional university and we are looking for someone who is able to develop an imaginative and effective approach in a unique environment.

A detailed job description and person specification for the post are attached.

Applicants with informal questions are encouraged to contact Professor Gary Campbell, Vice Principal Students, by email to gary.campbell@uhi.ac.uk
