Permanent role, 15 hours per week, term time (35 weeks)
Newman University is seeking a part-time Muslim Chaplain to join our small yet vibrant Chaplaincy team. You will work with the team to provide excellent pastoral and spiritual support for all students and staff at the University, with a particular focus for the Muslim faith community, developing a programme of worship and other activities. You will also develop and inspire student and staff understanding and awareness of faith practice, private prayer and personal reflection.
You must be passionate about building relationships with students and staff, responsive to their pastoral and spiritual needs, and be able to deliver a range of activities to support the particular needs of our Muslim community. You will be an active Muslim, with a commitment to leadership and service and be educated to degree level. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a personal faith that sustains and supports you, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
