About the vacancy:
The School of Social Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology (0.6FTE, permanent post). The successful applicant will be a HCPC registered Health Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist, with practice and leadership experience, with a commitment to innovative and high-quality teaching. You will contribute to the highly regarded Health Psychology provision, and in particular the Masters in Health Psychology and Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.
The post is based within the interdisciplinary Department of Social Sciences within the College of Health, Science and Society and contribute to the Psychological Sciences Research Group. Our staff are professional practitioners and researchers at the forefront of their specialist areas. Our students benefit from their cutting-edge insight, practical experience, and innovative approaches to teaching. We collaborate closely with employers and stakeholders to ensure that our curricula remain current, topical, and relevant to societal needs.
We offer a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and other professional bodies. We are focussed on the delivery of high-quality teaching with a strong emphasis on the application of academic understanding to real-world contexts with impact.
About you:
The successful applicants will have a prominent profile in the field of Health Psychology and a very good track record in leadership of teams; delivering a high quality learning experience; planning and managing the delivery of curricula to ensure academic content, coherence, quality and conformity with university regulations and professional body requirements.
