NTU is a great place to work. We take care of our colleagues with flexible and competitive packages, and the opportunities for genuine professional progress. We respect and value all our staff because we know that it takes a strong and diverse workforce to maintain the kind of success we’ve achieved.
Our award-winning research is celebrated around the world, and we’re proud of our strategic partnerships. It’s all down to the ability of our people to shape, create and innovate, in whatever capacity they work with us. Our continued success — underpinned by the number of prestigious national awards we’ve won — has hinged on two commitments: creating excellent global collaborations and harnessing the talents of all our people.
NTU is a university at the peak of its powers, but we know we can still go even further. Join us in our mission to become ‘the university of the future’ — seize the challenge and adventure of working with an organisation where progress never stops. This is your career, reimagined.
If you are in the early stages of an academic career and are considering joining NTU, then our Early Career Academic Development Programme could be just right for you
If you are considering joining NTU as a Senior Lecturer you will benefit from our Senior Lecturer Career Framework, which recognises and rewards you based on your performance, contribution and achievement, and offers the opportunity of faster salary progression compared to the industry average
The Department of Chemistry and Forensics invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry, to teach and support a range of accredited chemistry and Forensic courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to education with an ability to support existing delivery whilst developing evidence based and engaging teaching practice across our suite of courses. You will contribute to the development, assessment, and management of academic courses within the chemistry subject area and be expected to contribute more broadly to teaching within the department. We are open to applications from people with industrial and academic experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge of mass spectroscopy to support teaching our Post graduate students.
The success of our courses is linked to our continual development of learning experiences through laboratory/workshop/seminar/research project delivery to support student progression and attainment. In addition, our undergraduate and postgraduate suite of courses are accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)or the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (CSoFS)
You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. Experience of teaching in Higher Education would be highly beneficial.
