The Department of English Literature and Creative Writing at Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Literature and New Media.  This is an indefinite appointment, to start 1 September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Department is 12th for English in the Times/Sunday Times and 7th for English in the Guardian league tables and we wish to add to our profile by attracting writers with expertise in New Media (such as film, videogames, graphic novels, or word and image). 

 The successful candidate will have an established or growing national and international reputation, expanding the Department of English Literature & Creative Writing’s research and teaching in any aspect of literature and new media. Candidates will be expected to undertake high quality research (appropriate to career stage), apply for grants, and/or develop an impact case study, and undertake engagement activities. The department is committed to both research and teaching, and we are looking for someone who can combine their research with a contribution to existing teaching provision in the department and the development of new modules.
