The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. LSE is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community in the heart of London, with a diverse staff and student body.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our friendly high performing team.
As a Research Awards Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full scope of administration involved in the receipt and payment of research funds. This includes responsibility for grant administration; compliance processes, organising the payment of funds and signing off expenditure. You will also support our research teams by advising them of relevant procedures and maintaining administrative oversight during the lifetime of their projects.
You should have the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple demands at busy times. You should also be able to work to a high level of accuracy and numeracy, have good Excel skills and have a customer focused approach to work. Experience of managing an administrative process and/or experience of working in a financial environment, would be an advantage.
In return, we offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
The School recognises the need for flexibility and is keen to support staff in achieving a work-life balance. We will consider requests to work flexibly and are also happy to discuss options for remote working.
