Principal Lecturer in Financial Management/Financial Technology

We are also very proud of our Business Clinic that has been established to provide students with the opportunity to undertake a live business consultancy project with an external host organisation. Our Business Clinic works with businesses and organisations from across the Liverpool City Region.

We are seeking to appoint an academic leader in the area of Financial Management and Financial Technology to join a vibrant team of academics in Liverpool Business School. You will be expected to take a lead in related research and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong commitment to ensuring an outstanding student experience
• Have a sustain track record of innovative teaching and research within the specialism, for example new and emerging technologies or trends in finance such as blockchain, cryptocurrencies, peer-to-peer lending, roboadvising, the role of AI in financial services, or regulation of technology.
• Have a growing national/international reputation with ability to attract significant research funding and students.
• Contribute to the pastoral and academic supervision of students
• Be committed to liaising with businesses and other organisations to connect the research and teaching capability of the School to professional leads.
• Have a clear understanding of how the outputs of scholarship and research or professional body engagement can inform curriculum development in order to enhance the learning experience of students.
