The Engagement Grants and Projects Coordinator will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering and enabling public engagement with research (PER) projects.
Oxford’s public engagement work aims to ensure that our research is accessible to everyone and, where appropriate, informed and shaped those directly affected by it. We do this by setting the University’s PER strategy and developing and delivering activities for researchers to help realise that strategy. This includes opportunities to do, evaluation, reward and recognition of engagement activities.
The PER Team is within Innovation & Engagement, which is part of Research Services (RS). RS works in partnership with our academic divisions and their departments and faculties to support Oxford’s world class researchers. Our role is to facilitate excellence in research, engagement and innovation at Oxford.

About the role
As Engagement Grants and Projects Coordinator, you will be a key part of the University’s Innovation & Engagement Team.
You will plan, co-ordinate, deliver and enable public engagement activities, supporting our vision to embed high-quality and innovative public and community engagement as an integral part of research culture and practice.
You will work with the Head of Public and Community Engagement and colleagues within the team, and collaborate across the wider University, to enhance Oxford’s position as a world-leading research institution.
About you
You will be a proactive individual with proven project management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
You will be excellent at working productively with others, with strong communication skills and being diplomatic when necessary.
You will work well as part of a team, helping to contribute to its wider objectives
