About the role
An exciting opportunity to lead the portfolio review and curriculum development agenda within the School of Sciences at Bath Spa University. With student experience at the heart of all that we do, the post-holder will lead the portfolio review and curriculum development agenda ambitiously on behalf of the University. Working with colleagues across the school and University the post holder will develop new vibrant courses whilst reviewing existing courses to enhance the school’s performance across a number of institutional KPIs. S/he will also be expected to undertake teaching, research and scholarly activity in relevant subject area associated within Psychology and make an active contribution to the leadership and people management. The post holder will also be expected to make an active contribution in areas related to marketing and communications, planning and resourcing activities.
About you (requirements)
You will be a Chartered Psychologist as accredited by the British Psychological Society and have a PhD and related successful HE teaching experience in Psychology; ideally you will also have experience of leading, coordinating and managing academic teams. You will also have the ability to use data in the development of a clear vision for the future of the portfolio review and curriculum development agenda within the school; as well as possessing excellent teaching experience and effective leadership skills. A student-centred, teaching focused approach is also required.

The School of Sciences is a large and multidisciplinary school combining area of Social and Natural Sciences with speciality in Biology, Criminology, Geography and the Environment, Psychology, and Sociology. We collaborate with others to produce specialised and interdisciplinary evidence to implement, promote and inform solutions to create genuine impact. We equip students with the theoretical and applied knowledge, experience, and skills to develop critically engaged, ethically-minded, and effective graduates.
