The Global Opportunities Office is looking to recruit a Global Programmes Coordinator (outgoing).
The role sits within the Global Opportunities team, part of the Global Engagement Office. Global Opportunities (GO) exists to promote and manage incoming and outgoing mobility programmes, which allow Queen Mary students to study, work and travel overseas. These programmes include European & International Exchanges as well as Summer Schools and the fee-paying Study Abroad Programme (incoming only).
Study abroad and exchange programmes are an essential component of Queen Mary’s Global Engagement Strategy, and the institution is committed to providing all students with opportunities for multidisciplinary and international experience. The Global Programmes Coordinator will be responsible for administering outgoing mobility programmes at Queen Mary with universities across the world. This will include providing guidance and information to students and staff on opportunities, as well as other student and staff mobility programmes, establishing systems and procedures for the successful execution of these Programmes.
Following the expansion of ‘with year abroad’ degrees at Queen Mary the role will support students going abroad for one year through the Student Exchange Programme, ensuring the efficient running of this programme and optimising student satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident individual who is able to work under their own initiative. Skills in relationship management are particularly important given the post holder will act as an ambassador for Queen Mary’s mobility programmes, championing them to students and staff across the institution.
The position is full-time and for a fixed term 12-month contract to cover a staff secondment, the position may be extended. It is based at our Mile End Campus and Dept W in Whitechapel, London. The starting salary is £36,348 - £42,592 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and a pension scheme.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
