Lecturer in Digital Screen Studies

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching & Research) to join our ambitious and thriving Department. 

Candidates with a background in film and screen studies and the potential to contribute to research in this area are encouraged to apply. In addition, we are looking for candidates with a strong research profile and the ability to contribute 4\* publications for the Research Excellence Framework (REF). 

You will undertake research and teaching in the Department of Communication and Media, with a focus on screen studies. The post will support teaching in the area of screen industries and entertainment, particularly focusing on the intersection of technology and business driven entertainment in one or more of the following fields: film, television, games and/or on-demand video/streaming. 

Preference will be given to applicants whose research contributes to our Screen and Film Studies research group, which brings together ground-breaking work in film and television studies with the study of digital screens cutting across media sectors. 

Candidates in their first academic post will be subject to a probationary period of 3 years in the first instance.
