Are you looking for a new environment in which you can make your mark with the effective management of IT software and hardware assets? If so, the role of ITAM Specialist at the University of East London might be for you.
We are currently expanding the Service Management team within our IT department to enhance our quality improvement and compliance activities within the service and the university. This team now has now has an opportunity for an individual with an eye for detail and experience in the management of both software and hardware assets to join the team.
This exiting position will challenge you to design, deliver and operate systems to record and monitor university assets, supporting our CE+ accreditation, identifying appropriate tools to enhance the effectiveness of the processes. You will lead on the development of our CMDB in collaboration with our front line and 3rd line service teams and act in an advisory capacity in relation to the licensing requirements for new and existing applications and SaaS services. Dealing with a diverse range of staff and student interactions in a fast-paced complex organisation, you will need the ability to solve problems from a wide range of requirements as you will be part of our drive to deliver measurable improvements to service quality and operational efficiency within a widening university community.
Ideally qualified in both ITSAM and CHAMP you will be experienced in the management of both software and hardware assets and will have developed systems and controls for both within a complex IT environment.
You will need to be a positive and proactive team player with the confidence to make and influence decisions both within and external to the department. Liaising with a variety customers, stakeholders, and vendors, you will need to have excellent communication skills. You will be as comfortable writing policy and process documents as developing and maintaining administrative systems and will be able to produce key deliverables to tight deadlines by effectively working with multiple priorities.
