Permanent position, 36.5 hours per week.
This is a post which has been designed to ensure effective PA and administrative support is given to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. The post will require high levels of tact, persuasion, and organisation skills.
It will be the responsibility of the post-holder to offer first-line support in identifying how to deal with issues that come into the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer’s office appropriately (referring onto a member of the University Executive Board or Senior Management to deal with or dealing with it themselves).
In addition, there will be event management where the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer may meet key external people important to the future of the University, e.g. Ministers, Local Government officials, UK and Overseas University Presidents, Donors (either with or on behalf of the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer).
The position of Chief Communications and Marketing Officer will have an important impact as one of the Senior Executive Board members of the University. It is important that their PA and administrative support is of a level which maintains the good reputation of the University.
