Academic Services enable and deliver, where appropriate, institution wide change, affecting improvements in key strategic areas to enhance the Swansea student experience and is proud to hold the Cabinet Office’s Customer Service Excellence and Investors in People Silver Awards.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive International Student Compliance Co-ordinator to join the busy and dynamic Student Compliance Services team. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a proven track record of working effectively within a team, balancing multiple priorities and demonstrating initiative. As a key member of the Student Compliance Services team within Academic Services, main responsibilities will be to ensure the discharge of the University’s policy and process relating to the issuance of CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) to current Student Route (previously Tier 4) students needing to extend their visa, and to provide expert advice to students and colleagues in relation to this area. Further duties include approval of changes of circumstances requests for International Students (suspension, transfer of programme etc) and to assist in the wider remit of Student Compliance Services, contributing to the annual Right to Study checks for International Students and to process and distribute Biometric Residence Permits in line with ACL (Alternative Collection Location) requirements.
The post holder will be an experienced and efficient administrator, with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. You will also have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across cultures. Candidates should be qualified to A-level or have appropriate applicable professional experience, together with experience of applying Immigration Rules and Regulations pertaining to the sponsorship of Student Route students and dealing with a diverse client base.
