This post will provide an excellent opportunity for an adaptable and enthusiastic individual to contribute in supporting the delivery of Phase 3b and 4 of the MBChB (the final 18 months of the course) reporting to the Later Years Programme Administrator, as well as, supporting the delivery of the Incoming Elective Programme reporting to the Academic Elective Lead. You will have recent relevant experience that will enable you to be involved in the long-term planning for delivery of the curriculum and to take responsibility for a wide range of organisational requirements including lecture timetabling, arrangements for teaching, and clinical placement planning and organisation. In addition to this, you will support the organisation and running of summative and formative assessments for approximately 650 students each year.
Excellent organisational skills are essential to the role, along with the ability to work with internal and external providers. You will link with NHS partners to manage student placements and liaise with these to ensure students are progressing and fulfilling placement objectives. You will be involved in all aspects of course administration and student support associated with Phase 3b and 4. In addition to this, you will be required to work across teams at times of peak activity, participating in other Phase examinations and teaching activities.
You will be required to communicate effectively and efficiently with international students, professional services departments across the wider University and local NHS Partners to organise medical elective placements for our Incoming Elective Programme.
