As one of the academic Colleges within the University, the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (“the College”) aims to deliver excellent research and educational programmes at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in fields such as Biosciences, Sports, Health and Exercise Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. We are seeking a highly professional, organised individual to enhance the delivery of education services across the College. You will lead the College education teams, ensuring the College’s academic Departments of Health and Life Sciences receive consistently high-level administrative support and policy / process guidance. We expect the successful candidate to promote a culture of continuous improvement, to develop the quality, efficiency and value of the College’s administrative support and to prioritise the student experience for our community of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students whilst paying close attention to the requirements of the University’s Senate Regulations.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Extensive experience of working in an operational leadership role in Higher Education or other complex organisational settings
A record of success in leading change that delivers outstanding services, reflects business priorities, integrates with other parts of the institution and prioritises collaborative working
Excellent strategic vision, team leadership (ideally in a matrix setting), process redesign and project oversight skills and experience
