Job description
We are looking to recruit a Programme Officer (Research) to join the Education Support Team (EST) in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). This is a key role within the EST Postgraduate Research (PGR) team and the role holder provides high quality administrative support for the PGR team and the research programmes (MPhil/PhD and MD(Res)) in the Faculty. The role supports all key stakeholders throughout the student lifecycle from the enrolment through to graduation and beyond.
The Programme Officer is the first point of contact for PGR students and academic staff in the Faculty and is actively involved in e.g. studentship advertising and Research Passport and DBS application processing. The role holder is responsible for accurate student records keeping and for drafting communications for staff and students (including PGR newsletter) and ensuring that information on the Faculty PGR web and KEATS pages is up to date. Additionally, the role holder organises e.g. induction events for new students.
Working as a member of a busy team the postholder is expected to resolve day to day issues, responding in line with College regulations and policies and work with minimal supervision on a day to day basis.
King’s College London operates under a hybrid working policy and when on campus the post-holder will be based at the Denmark Hill campus (currently 2 days a week).
