Digital Technology Services (DTS), the centralised IT Directorate is looking for an experienced Value and Contracts Manager as part of an exciting investment programme in DTS at Sheffield Hallam University. The role will be responsible for a new functional team within DTS looking at value from both existing and future contracts. You will be coordinating and overseeing cross university DTS contract management across the whole of the IT Hardware and software estate. You will have strategic oversight of University IT Procurement and contract management, service management and performance so the ability to see the bigger picture is essential. Sheffield Hallam University has a wide portfolio of services so there is always something new and challenging to look at.
You will be working closely with the central Procurement function and as part of the main leadership team for Digital Transformation Services (DTS) you will be providing strategic leadership for your area and DTS as a service. You will be accountable for contract management and getting value from those contracts which impacts a wide variety of stakeholders in the University. You will be providing a high-quality service, providing support and advice to the wider DTS teams alongside supporting the wider objectives and contributing to the strategic direction of DTS.
This is a leadership role, being a core member of DTS Senior Leadership Team, so the ideal candidate will be someone wanting to develop or expand their leadership experience to deliver an excellent service to all our stakeholders. You will have proven ability to negotiate with internal customers to and experience of leading a team within a background of contract management.
You will have knowledge and understanding of Procurement within frameworks and experience working within a large and complex environment along with experience of building strong working relationships with key senior stakeholders to enable future decision making and planning.
