We have an exciting opportunity within the Department of Estates & Facilities Management for someone with a proven track record of supervising a water team, to ensure the compliance of a vibrant University estate which offers a world-class, unique experience to those who learn, work and visit here.
The team is seeking a highly motivated Water Compliance Supervisor with a solid understanding of building water systems, infrastructure, legislation and excellent communication skills.
You will assist the Water Compliance Manager in providing the water compliance and maintenance needs of the estate, identifying areas of improvement, supervising a team of technicians, and assisting with managing the integration of capital and major refurbishment works to ensure a compliant estate.
You need to be self-motivated and have the ability to inspire high performance in others, as well as demonstrating effective working independently and in a team. In addition to skills in writing technical specifications, managing contractors and creative problem solving, the role will require you to have a good understanding of large-scale infrastructure and water services.
We would like you to have a City & Guilds Plumbing, Mechanical Services qualification or equivalent and time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Also proven experience in pipe work distribution systems including fire-fighting systems, ventilation and water services domestic and specialist systems.
