About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified candidates interested in joining the Occupational Therapy program in the position of Assistant Professor (A or B) –Occupational Therapy.  

The position will contribute to the teaching, learning, research and community engagement activities of the occupational therapy discipline and Master of Occupational Therapy program.  

Under the leadership of senior academic staff, the successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Master of Occupational Therapy program, supervise the clinical and/or industry research activities of occupational therapy students, and teach across the breadth of Occupational Therapy. It offers opportunities for the incumbent to develop research interests aligned to those within the Occupational Therapy team and broader Faculty.   

About the person

The successful candidate will be registered or be eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist in Australia. The candidate will also typically hold a Doctoral qualification, although may hold a Master qualification with evidence of substantial scholarship and professional practice and emerging research experience. They will have a track record of effective teaching, learning, scholarship or research and academic administration within the higher education sector.

The salary range is $124,516.38 (Assistant Professor B) to $147,679.63 (Assistant Professor A) plus 10.5% superannuation per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with skills and experience.
