The Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Senior Trial Manager – Start–up Specialist. This is a new strategically important appointment within the unit to work closely with our collaborators as we onboard new projects to our trials portfolio and deliver our clinical trials strategy. Working with the Data Management and Programming Architect you will be responsible for maximising the potential for activity between grant approval and grant commencement. The post will require you to use your extensive knowledge and expertise in managing clinical trials within an academic and strict regulatory environment to ensure the successful initiation of projects creating new procedures as required.
The Opportunity:
Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit is a UKCRC registered clinical trials unit within the Usher Institute of Edinburgh University which provides the infrastructure to develop, design and deliver clinical research studies. ECTU works closely with Edinburgh-based researchers, external collaborators, ACCORD, NHS Lothian and industrial partners on projects that positively impact human health and public health policy. As a valued member of the ECTU Trial Management Team, the post holder will be a key point of contact for many stakeholders and will contribute to the future success of ECTU and the University of Edinburgh by ensuring successful delivery of a complex trial portfolio with particular focus on the early phases of project execution.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Gina Cranswick, Senior Trial Team Manager (gina.cranswick@ed.ac.uk) Interviews will be held in February and shortlisted candidates will be asked to prepare a presentation for this.
We would consider part-time / job share as long as the post can be filled on a full time basis.
