ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
Student recruitment is essential to London Metropolitan University’s long-term sustainability. The Department of Student Recruitment and Business Development leads on delivery of the University’s recruitment strategy for both domestic and international students, offering an innovative approach to events and activities to support achievement of ambitious student recruitment targets.
ABOUT THE POST
Reporting to the Senior UK Recruitment Officer, the principal focus of this role is to increase recruitment of domestic students to the University through a series of sector-leading on and off campus events.
The position requires a highly creative, problem solving, analytical, organised yet flexible individual with a positive attitude to recruitment within the Higher Education sector. The post holder should be knowledgeable about the Education sector and be able to apply this to the creation and development of student recruitment based activities.

This exciting role brings with it the opportunity to create, lead and coordinate strategically driven events, as well as contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of student recruitment and conversion activities. Not only would the post holder be supporting the achievement of the recruitment targets but would also be helping to shape a career in the Education or Events sector.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
