The ParticipatoryResearch@Bath Project Manager is responsible, with the Deputy Head of Public Engagement, for the management and delivery of the Research England funded ParticipatoryResearch@Bath project.
Managed by the Public Engagement Unit, the ParticipatoryResearch@Bath project aims to create and enhance the conditions for participatory approaches research to flourish at the University of Bath.
About the role
You will manage and have oversight of a diverse range of strategic, operational and brokerage activities to enhance and support a positive culture of participatory research at the University. This will include (but not limited to); delivering a range of capacity and capability building programmes - such as running training and professional development opportunities and managing a grant scheme – commissioning research, facilitating workshops and managing advisory groups.
The Public Engagement Unit sits within the Department of Marketing and works to support a positive culture of public engagement with research. The unit supports staff across all the University of Bath Faculties and School of Management, and at all career stages, to undertake meaningful public engagement. The unit has four strands of work: Doing Public Engagement, Training and Professional Development, Celebrating Public Engagement and Leadership in Public Engagement.
This role is offered on a part time (18.25 hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 31/07/2024.
