This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a new strategic initiative to deliver enhanced research and proposal development in core thematic areas. You will support the further growth of interdisciplinary activities, providing support to deliver additional larger scale external income and establish key capabilities and capacity for research. The post holder will provide dedicated support to these thematic areas to ensure focus, develop partnerships, maximise the ambition of grant proposals, and help meet our Research Strategic Delivery Plan objectives.
The role will be part of the Research & KE Development team, which leads and coordinates the development and implementation of research development activities across local, national and international opportunities. In particular, the team has responsibility for managing the research pipeline for developing projects and funding proposals.
Working in conjunction with colleagues in R&I and the faculties, you will work pro-actively in support of a small number of research themes to convene, develop, and support multidisciplinary expertise for the development of ambitious external funding applications, in collaboration with partner countries. The role will have responsibility for supporting the development of high-quality funding applications, providing significant support for large-scale bids.
This is a permanent with underlying post until 31/07/2027. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
