We are looking for two Senior Scientist/Software Developers to join our team.

The opportunity:

The successful candidates will work on the European Space Agency (ESA) Euclid Mission to map the Dark Universe as a member of the Institute for Astronomy, at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Software and/or Scientific Expertise to integrate data into the UK Science Ground Segment (SGS) Euclid Pipeline.
  • Ability to introduce novel solutions to integrate and coordinate work relating to the SGS pipeline, generating original ideas, and testing innovative solutions where these are not obvious.
  • Experience to routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using a high level of skills and a range of media.
  • Ability to handle diverse work pressures and tight deadlines.
